GUILD UPDATE NOVEMBER 2012
There are allot of new members in TA since the guild was formed in the Old Republic so I wanted to start with a little bit of history.
TA was first formed in WOW, the guild grew to 200 plus members and become a successful raiding guild on the server. TA was again built by myself and grown to similar numbers in LOTRO.
I started to build TA around 6mths before the actual game was released, creating a web site and I had also started to send the message out that TA would be in TOR by recruiting in the forums etc.
Before we moved to Dalborra I made an alt and formed TA for a second time in OR, a month later when our current members moved to the new oceanic server TA was up and running with around 50 members.
Since then you have all helped to grow TA to over 200 members, Thank you all for your support.
The purpose has always been to maintain a mature environment with no drama that all members of all play styles can enjoy.
I hope that TA will be able to support casual members through to serious Raiders and PVPers and provide a home for all.
We believe that as a game TOR should be played the way a person enjoys without being pressured to change their style etc. Because at the end of the day it is a game!
Current Issues and Plans
Currently we have over 200 members but obviously not all currently playing. It seems allot of people are moving, but We would like to ensure our current and future members that TA does have a plan for the future and that we have looked at our current guild issues below and are attempting to work though. Member feedback is encouraged and welcome.
No one online:
People logging into raid times only (other members get bored), Recruitment into out play styles IE more casual players and the PVP group, will also provide members with more options within our guild to play the way they want.
Under geared, under experience, people not showing up
nothing set up in past, Have set up a PVP group under the leadership of Toughmudder, we hope to grow this into a respected PVP group on our server
Current Members / recruitment:
Will be moving members that have not been online for over 60 days to recruit, after free to play if these members still have not logged on they will be removed from the guild. This will give us an accurate idea of our current members so we can set targets for recruitment.
Ranks to broken down into a hierarchy based on play style:
Rank Break Down:
Responsible for overall guild management, will help officers, Raid & PVP leaders to manage their separate sections. Will ensure a positive mature environment is maintained
Officer has general overall guild responsibilities, helps the GM’s. Will help to ensure a positive mature environment is maintained. Helps with recruitment
Raid leaders will have 100% control over there Raid groups, The GM’s and officer will help them were needed but ultimately the leaders will call the shots. They will organise raids and be involved of recruitment into the Raider rank.
Raid Members are guild members who are geared and experienced in raiding, they report to the Raid leader and follow there instruction for Raid times etc.
PVP leaders will have 100% control over there groups, The GM’s and officer will help them were needed but ultimately the leaders will call the shots. They will organise ranked matches and recruit suitable members into their PVP group.
PVP Members are guild members who are geared and experienced in PVP, they report to the PVP leader and follow there instruction for ranked game times etc.
Standard members who are generally more involved with the guild. They will help out all officers / raid / PVP leaders. Also helps to maintain the positive mature environment in the guild. Helps with recruitment.
Anyone can join TA as a member, this rank is for casual players who do not raid or PVP hardcore. The Raid or PVP leader can decide to utilise a member to fill a spot in a group if the member is utilised but members should not be expecting to be involved in these groups regularly. If a member does wish to begin raiding or PVPing with the respected groups they should approach the leader of this group and find what they will need to achieve gear wise etc. first.
For New members, and non-active members that have not been removed from the guild as yet
